What happens in a free IT assessment? Here is exactly what.
"Free assessment" sounds like a sales call with a different name. Here is exactly what actually happens, so you can decide if it is worth your time.
"Free assessment" sounds like a sales call with a different name, and we understand the skepticism. Here is exactly what happens, so you can decide whether it is worth your time.
If your setup is solid, we will say so. If you can fix something yourself without paying anyone, we will tell you that too.
What it is not
It is not a presentation about Biznetplus. It is not a generic checklist that ignores what you actually have. And it is not a high-pressure conversation engineered to end with you signing something.
What it is
A genuine look at your actual technology setup, what you have, how it is configured, what is working, and what is not. We ask questions, we listen, and we tell you what we find, including things that have nothing to do with us. If your setup is solid, we will say so. If there are problems you can fix yourself without paying anyone, we will tell you that too.
What we typically look at
Backup and recovery. Do you have a backup, when did it last run, has it ever been tested, and could you actually restore from it? A surprising number of organizations have backups that would not work in a real recovery.
Security basics. Are systems patched, is multi-factor authentication on for email and key accounts, are old employee accounts still active, is guest Wi-Fi separated from your business network?
Hardware health. How old is your equipment, what is nearing end of life, and is anything running an operating system that no longer gets security updates?
Your current IT arrangement. Who do you call when something breaks, how long does a response take, and are you satisfied with it?
What is on your mind. What keeps you up at night, what has broken recently, and what are you planning, a move, a hiring surge, a software change, that has technology implications?
What you get out of it
A clear picture of where you stand, and what we would prioritize if we were in your position, and why. If there is a fit to work together, we will explain what that looks like and what it costs. If there is not, we will tell you that too. We would rather give you an honest assessment and build a relationship over time than push you into the wrong thing.
How long it takes
Usually sixty to ninety minutes, sometimes less. We do not drag it out. There is no obligation, no follow-up pressure campaign, and no catch, just an honest look at your technology and a straight conversation about what we see.
