Windows 10 support has ended. Now what?

The deadline has passed. If some of your machines are still on Windows 10, you are not alone, but you should act.

As of October 14, 2025, Windows 10 no longer receives security updates. If you have machines still running it, here is how to handle it calmly and correctly.

What to do

  • Inventory which machines are still on Windows 10 and what they are used for
  • Upgrade the ones whose hardware supports Windows 11
  • Replace the ones that do not, prioritizing any that touch sensitive data
  • Isolate any that genuinely cannot be upgraded yet, and limit what they can access in the meantime

What not to do

Do not simply keep using unsupported machines for everyday work and hope for the best, the risk only grows each month, and it can affect insurance and compliance. If the scramble feels overwhelming, we can inventory your fleet and lay out a practical, budget-aware plan. Reach out and we will sort it.
